Environmental Studies for HydroelectricGLEC has the experienced staff, the equipment, and the resources necessary to efficiently conduct effective environmental studies related to the licensing, relicensing or other environmental evaluations at hydroelectric facilities. GLEC is capable of, and experienced in conducting all of the types of environmental studies required by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), state agencies, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. GLEC staff have both the depth and breadth of experience in terrestrial and aquatic systems, with specific expertise in: aquatic ecology, wetland ecology, terrestrial ecology, fisheries biology, wildlife biology, vertebrate and invertebrate biology, aquatic toxicology, botany, forestry, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing, environmental chemistry, and regulatory interaction.
