GLEC researchers are currently conducting an on-site Toxicity Identification/Reduction Evaluation that utilizes a pilot plant unit to identify the causative agents of chronic toxicity at the industrial wastewater treatment facility at one of the U.S. Air Force's Air Logistic Commands. The pilot plant will be used to identify the sources of toxicity, and to evaluate source reduction alternatives. The on-site pilot plant will also be used to evaluate process changes at the facility to determine their impact on the quality of the final effluent prior to full-scale use.
