GLEC researchers have successfully completed TI/RE studies that identified the causative agents of acute and chronic toxicity at industrial and domestic wastewater treatment facilities at one of the U.S. Air Force's Air Logistic Commands. GLEC has also performed a third TI/RE at the same facility to characterize and identify other sources of toxicity at the industrial wastewater effluent outfall. Concurrently, a study to identify alternative wastewater treatment technologies and an assessment of bioaccumulative substances were also performed.
