Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians Water Quality Assessment in Grand Traverse Bay
(Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians)

GLEC researchers conducted integrated water and sediment quality investigations in the near shore areas of Grand Traverse Bay, Michigan, adjacent to the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indian Reservation. The purpose of the investigation was to develop baseline water and sediment quality data and to document seasonal changes in water and sediment quality. The baseline data was also used to position a proposed central wastewater treatment plant on the reservation shoreline.
