GLEC Wins $11.7 Million U.S. EPA Office of Water Contract

GLEC was awarded an $11.7 million five year national contract from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to provide technical and regulatory support for the development and implementation of ecological criteria designed to protect water quality and aquatic life.  Services will be provided to EPA’s Office of Science and Technology Health and Ecological Criteria Division (HECD) and will include developing chemical and biological criteria, performing ecological risk assessments, biological evaluations, and laboratory and field studies, and providing assistance to states and tribes with water quality standards implementation programs. GLEC was the prime contractor on four previous similar EPA contracts.  The 2014 to 2019 GLEC HECD contract team includes a diverse group of national experts who will support GLEC in meeting the contract’s  broad scope of work.
