As GLEC’s Quality Assurance Manager, Jennifer is responsible for implementing and maintaining all of GLEC’s Quality Assurance systems, procedures, and documentation. She also manages GLEC’s NELAP and TVA laboratory accreditation programs. Jennifer’s QA support work includes data review and approval, laboratory auditing, staff training, and noncompliance investigations. Jennifer has a diverse background in the biological and biochemical sciences, including field work as a botanist/conservation biologist and quality assurance / quality control work for major biotechnology and pharmaceutical laboratories. Jennifer holds a B.S. in Biotechnology from Ferris State University and a M.S. in Biology / Conservation Biology with a concentration in Botany from Central Michigan University.
GLEC operates one of only a few U.S. laboratories accredited for whole sediment toxicity testing. GLEC also maintains NELAP accreditation for chlorophyll and nutrient chemistry testing.
