Field Surveys

GLEC offers our clients a unique combination of know-how and capabilities to conduct field surveys in aquatic environments.  To borrow a phrase, the highly experienced field researchers at GLEC are “in the water, on the water, and next to the water.” We own and maintain a full complement of survey and monitoring equipment to analyze surface and ground water systems, as well as effluent and stormwater discharges and their receiving waters.

We are expert at conducting field investigations of sediment conditions in receiving waters, harbors, and wetland environments.  Our field biologists have conducted hundreds of biological and ecological surveys to assess fisheries and benthic community health in every ecoregion of the conterminous U.S.

GLEC fisheries biologists have extensive nationwide experience in small and large river fisheries assessments, lake and coastal marine surveys, and Great Lakes assessments in support of Clean Water Act (CWA), Federal and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance
